GPT Image

GPT Image is OpenAI's image generation and editing family. The current models are GPT-Image-2.5 Sunburst, described in OpenAI's docs as our most capable model for image generation and editing, and GPT-Image-2.5 Flare for fast, high-quality everyday image generation. Both are reached through the Image API (generations and edits) or as a built-in tool in the Responses API, and OpenAI notes you may need to complete organisation verification before using them. Among the strongest of the major generators at rendering readable text inside an image.
