Which AI Subscriptions Actually Discount on Black Friday 2026

The short answer

Black Friday 2026 falls on 27 November, and the big AI assistants are unlikely to be discounted: the 2025 deal roundup we checked listed no offer from ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Midjourney. Real sales have been on second-tier tools, typically 35% to 50% off annual plans. Annual billing saves money year-round: 15% on Claude Pro and about 51% on Otter Pro.

How we chose

  • —Whether a vendor has run a Black Friday offer before
  • —Current monthly and annual list prices
  • —Whether a 2026 offer was visible on the vendor’s own page

Checked: Vendor pricing pages and published 2024–2025 Black Friday deal coverage Not done: No purchases or checkout tests; we did not verify any discount code at a checkout.

When is Black Friday 2026?

Black Friday falls on Friday 27 November 2026, with Cyber Monday on 30 November. In past years software offers have appeared from around the third week of November, and some have run into early December — Adobe’s 2025 Creative Cloud Pro offer ran until 7 December — so the useful window is roughly 20 November to the first week of December.

The more important question is whether the tool you want will be discounted at all. For most of the well-known ones, the answer is probably no.

What has not gone on sale

The frontier assistants hold their prices. The 2025 Black Friday roundup we checked listed offers from ten AI tools and none from ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Midjourney. When we checked on 7 November 2026, the ChatGPT, Claude and Google AI pricing pages showed list prices and standing discounts only — annual billing on Claude, teacher and nonprofit programmes on ChatGPT — and no seasonal promotion.

Do not wait

If you need ChatGPT Plus, Claude Pro or Google AI Pro, subscribe when you need it. Waiting three weeks for a discount these vendors have not offered before costs you three weeks of use.

What usually does go on sale

The discounting happens one tier down, among tools competing for the same subscription budget. In 2025, offers included 40% off QuillBot’s annual plan, up to 40% off Suno, 35% off Descript’s annual Creator plan, 50% off annual plans from Adobe Creative Cloud Pro, ProWritingAid and Pictory, and headline figures of up to 80% on ElevenLabs. In 2024, Grammarly cut its annual Pro plan from $144 to $74. These are past offers, not promises for this year.

Two cautions. Discount codes circulating before the sale are often stale, region-locked or invented for affiliate traffic, so verify any offer on the vendor’s own pricing page before paying. And a 70% discount on a tool you will not use in February is not a saving.

The discount nobody advertises

Annual billing is the real year-round sale, and on several tools it rivals what Black Friday produces. These are current list prices, not promotions:

ToolMonthlyAnnual (per month)You save
Otter Pro$16.99$8.33~51%
tl;dv ProEUR 29EUR 18~38%
Suno Pro$10$820%
Claude Pro$20$1715%
Perplexity ProNot listed$17Annual price only

If you already know you will use a tool for a year, switching billing captures much of the saving a sale would give you, without waiting and without a code. The exception is a tool with a sale record: Suno’s 2025 Black Friday price for an annual Pro plan was $57.60 against a $96 list price, roughly double its normal annual saving. For tools like that, waiting a few weeks can pay.

How to spend sensibly in November

  1. 01List the tools you actually opened this month. Everything else is not a deal candidate.
  2. 02Move keepers with no sale history to annual billing now.
  3. 03For frontier assistants, ignore Black Friday and pay when you need them.
  4. 04For second-tier tools with a sale record, wait for the 20 November to early December window.
  5. 05Verify every offer on the vendor’s own pricing page. Codes from roundup sites expire or never existed.
  6. 06Avoid lifetime deals on tools whose running costs are model inference; the economics rarely hold.

No 2026 Black Friday offer is confirmed here: when we checked on 7 November 2026, none of the pricing pages listed below showed one. Prices quoted are list prices and will move; the update log records each re-check.

  • November 7, 2026Moved to a permanent URL without the year. Added sources and a How we chose box. Corrected Suno Pro to $10 a month or $8 billed annually, a 20% saving rather than the 25% and 38% stated before. Replaced the unsourced 35%–75% range with specific 2024 and 2025 offers, added Suno’s 2025 sale, and stated that no 2026 offer was live when checked.

Frequently asked

When is Black Friday 2026?
Friday 27 November 2026, with Cyber Monday on 30 November. Past software offers have typically appeared in the week before, and some ran into early December, so the practical window is roughly 20 November to the first week of December.
Does ChatGPT Plus ever go on sale?
We have found no record of a Black Friday discount on ChatGPT Plus. The 2025 Black Friday roundup we checked listed none for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Midjourney, and OpenAI’s pricing page showed no seasonal offer on 7 November 2026. If you need one of these, subscribe when you need it rather than waiting for a discount.
What is the best way to save on AI subscriptions?
Annual billing, which is available year-round and often rivals Black Friday discounts. Otter Pro drops from $16.99 to $8.33 a month when billed annually, tl;dv Pro from EUR 29 to EUR 18, Suno Pro from $10 to $8, and Claude Pro from $20 to $17. The trade-off is committing for a year.
Are Black Friday AI discount codes trustworthy?
Often not. Many codes circulating on roundup sites are expired, region-locked or fabricated to earn affiliate clicks. Always confirm the price on the vendor’s own checkout before paying, and treat any claimed discount you cannot reproduce there as fake.
